The reason is that Polaris was meant to be Magneto’s daughter from the very beginning. I’m talking about back in the 60′s.
The twins were only a retcon from the very beginning, back in 1982.
Marvel just made a mistake and fixed it.
Don’t the twins have a new sis? Luminous?
